ORANGES : Health Benefits and Nutritional Facts

ORANGE, Scientific Name :  Citrus Sinensis
According to Wikipedia, ORANGE originated from Southeast Asia (would you believe! where oh where can I found Orange in the Philippines?). But, presently, Oranges are cultivated around the world except, maybe, in Southeast Asia (ironically). Brazil tops the list of Orange-producing countries followed by USA, Mexico, India (where they are sold with free DVDs - joke) and China.

Health Benefits from ORANGE
  • Anti-Cancer fruit - Orange has lots of the anti-oxidant Beta-Carotene
  • Orange is a citrus fruit, it then follows that it is rich in Vitamin C, which boosts our immune system, protecting us from colds, cough etc.
